Nafisa Fai for Washington County Commission

When Nafisa decided she wanted to run for office in Washington County, she came to us to make key early decisions and help her craft a winning campaign coalition and strategy. Despite opposition from conservatives who have long held power in Washington County, Nafisa was the top vote-getter in the primary and went on to win in the general election with a decisive 16-point margin. Along the way, we helped Nafisa shape and communicate her message to voters, build a powerful and diverse coalition, navigate challenges – including the COVID-19 pandemic – and ultimately make history as the first Black and first Muslim person to serve on the Washington County Commission.
