State of Safety Action

When a local community member wanted to establish safe gun storage requirements in Oregon, he came to us. We helped him develop a strategy to enact these requirements, including embedding his work in the gun violence prevention movement, building a broad coalition, and overcoming opposition to pass this landmark legislation. Senate Bill 554, which requires Oregonians to store their firearms safely when not in use, will help reduce gun violence in Oregon and save lives.
