Political contributions to Oregon legislators from firearm organizations have been traditionally dominated by opponents to stronger gun laws, missing an opportunity to educate them on gun violence prevention strategies and impacting the political calculus of whether to support these policies. We helped establish a political action committee supported by Oregonians that invested over $60,000 in legislative races and paved the way for Oregon’s first-in-the-nation safe gun storage legislation.
