About Madeline
(she/they)
As an Associate at Praxis, Madeline brings a background in community organizing, coalition building, and legislative advocacy to the team.
Madeline first fostered her love for policy in college through an internship with Fundación para Estudio e Investigación de la Mujer, a Woman’s Rights Organization in Buenos Aires, working to end child marriage. She continued to build on her advocacy experience through a Legislative Fellowship with Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon, where she helped pass House Bill 2002, the Reproductive Health and Access to Care Bill.
After graduating, Madeline worked as a Coalition Coordinator for the East Multnomah Youth Substance Prevention Coalition, organizing community members, organizations, and local businesses to pass policies to prevent youth substance misuse.
A lifelong Oregonian, Madeline has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oregon in Psychology, Global Studies, and Spanish. She is fluent in Spanish, completing twelve years of study in a dual-immersion school and multiple international study abroad programs. She lives in Portland with a collection of good friends and three crazy cats. In her spare time, she’s been enjoying learning to boulder and knit.
